Fall 2013

With Christmas around the corner, it's time to get to bloggin' about the fall!  We had some sweet times this year.  Prepare for an onslaught of photos!

We did our 2nd year of tailgating at Pitt State with the Morris clan.  It was a great time!

The whole crew.

Tally and Owen did some bonding.

Watching the players walk to the field...there were high-fives, the kids were star-struck.

A funny Jake moment:  As the players were passing by Jake asked, "Mommy, why do the football players have pacifers in their mouths?!?"

Later in October, we had the joy of witnessing my baby brother getting married.

The wonderfully-matched bride and groom.

My mom, her kids, and a few grandkids.

Addison was the flower girl...here she is with her Papa Steve.

My handsome boys and Papa.

Halloween snuck up on us this year.  We didn't make it to the pumpkin patch until the end of the month (not sure where those pictures are...ipod maybe??).  Anyway, we figured out costumes and carved pumpkins just a few days before Halloween.

The kids chose their designs...Addison chose a cat and moon (carved by me) and Jake chose a not-too-creepy face (carved by Kyle).

We trick or treated with our good friends.  We had 2 new trick-or-treaters this year.  Unfortunately, Owen and Ruby didn't score any candy...they were crashed out in their baby carriers.

Iron Man Patriot, SuperGirl, and a Puppy.

Our sweet Puppy

The leaves this fall were glorious.  I don't know if it was because of all the rain we had this summer or what, but the fall colors were brilliant and the leaves seemed to stay on the trees for weeks.

The boys and I went on a walk to collect some leaves.

Jake led the way.

Reaching for the branch...sorry bud, you're not quite tall enough!

One of Jake's infamous smiles.  Every time I ask him to smile for a photo, I get something like this.

Glorious.
The kids loved playing in the leaves.

As with all of his firsts, Owen's first taste of rice cereal was a family event.

Walking at the Nature Center

Love.

Kid.

Picturesque.

Awww...they love each other!

Sad faces.

Silly faces.

Angry faces.

We dedicated Owen at church.  I love that the screen in the background has a photo w/ Jake and a mustache prop.  So funny.

Addison was chosen as Leader of the Pride at school.

Getting her award from her principal at assembly.

So proud!
She was chosen for "Doing her best since day 1!  She pays attention, never stops trying and is incredibly respectful.  She always strives for excellence!  She is an awesome leader and role model for all of us!  Way to go Addison!"

We celebrated my mom's 60th birthday in November.  We surprised her with a photobook, "60 Reasons We Love Mom/Grammy."  All the kids and grandkids contributed.

Reading the 60 reasons.

The grandkids.

Love my mom!
