8 Years

People often remember their wedding day as the best day of their life...the perfect day. My day was far from perfect, we spent a large part of it taking pictures...our reception site randomly put bright pink bows all over the place...I missed a large part of our reception (dancing, greeting people) because we were taking pictures. So, "my" day wasn't perfect. It was, however, the day that I made one of the best decisions of my life. That day, I committed to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.

**Oh, and there were plenty of great memories that day...worshiping during our ceremony, dancing with my daddy at the reception, watching Kyle share sweet moments with his brothers. So. many. good. things.**

Anyway, back to my good decision. Kyle is my opposite in almost every way. That has proven to be so very good for us. He lightens up my sometimes-too-serious-side. He makes me laugh and brings so much FUN to our family. Kyle is a rock, always ready with an encouraging word...he is one who will tell me the truth, even if it's difficult to hear. He is so very patient and forgiving. His ability to forgive and forget instantly, always amazes me. He trusts fully in God which makes it easy to trust him, because I know Who he is looking to.

Kyle, thank you for being my best friend, a great husband, and an amazing father. I love you and am so glad you picked me!!
