I have been itching to get a vegetable garden started this spring and yesterday I was finally able to get my hands in the dirt! We have done a garden in the past, but took a break last year. I was 8 months pregnant at planting time and was doing good to roll out of bed each morning! So this year I have been extra anxious to get going. As usual, I went a little overboard and will likely be giving away a lot of the fruits (vegetables) of my labor. But, that's fun too! So here's what I planted: sweet corn (seed), fajita bell peppers (plant), jalapeno peppers (plant), serrano peppers (plant), romaine lettuce (seed), carrots (seed), red onion (seed), green beans (seed), summer squash (seed), broccoli (seed), cucumbers (plant), cantaloupe (seed), and tomatoes (plant). I know...I'll be a regular farmer's market! Here are a couple of pictures.
