I do have birthday party pictures to post, but I wanted to write this post first before time gets away from me. And on a side note, all the photos in this post were taken by Emily Bergquist. She is a friend of ours who does beautiful photography. I'll post more of her work from our recent session soon.
At 2 years old, Jacob, you are a joy. An exhausting, sweet, curious, joy. You love to climb, jump, and run...at times, it seems like you are in constant motion. You love cars, trains, and planes. You are working to perfect the sound effects for each mode of transportation!

You love your Daddy. Every morning we talk about how Daddy is at work and any time Annie barks during the day, you think he is home. When he does get home, you are attached to his hip. You love to wrestle, snuggle, and read with Daddy.

You are learning so much. You like to color and write with your sister. You are learning your colors...you have green, purple, and orange down...everything else is a guessing game. You love to count, though your counting goes something like this...1, 4, 3, 5, 2.

You are a great eater...you love pasta, rice and beans, and just about any kind of fruit. Bananas are still your favorite, though clementines, or "orangies" would come in a close second. We are working on your taste for veggies.

You are starting to connect more words and occasionally form complete sentences. Some sweet things you say:
"Mommy, I hunry."
"Wook (look), Mom, a train!"
"I aunt (want) Daddy"
"Sissy go?" (where did sissy go)
"Hurry" (firetruck...strange, I know, it's from a song he knows)
