Sugar Cookies, Snow Globes, and Gingerbread Houses

The week before Christmas, I planned a craft and something to bake for each day. It took a lot of planning, but was so fun...I think it's something we'll do every year.

We made sugar cookies...correction, Addison and I made sugar cookies...Jake ate them!

Addison helped me through the first pan of cookies, then wanted to eat one too!
(Yes, this day was a self-selected outfit day...and no, I probably hadn't brushed her hair yet...I'm pretty sure I was still in my jammies at this point.)

We also attempted making snow globes. I saw the idea on Pinterest...it was from Martha Stewart. Martha must have some mojo that I just don't have, because they did not turn out very cute! Addison insisted on using pink glitter, which turned her water pin. Oh well, it was fun, at least.

My angel snow globe.

After dinner one night, we decorated gingerbread houses as a family. I hot glued the graham crackers together...hoping they would hold up to less-than-careful kids...they did.

Jake iced his roof, then licked it all off!

My completed house.

Kyle's completed house (notice the marshmallow wood pile).
