Fall=Family Time

The only time of the year we travel more often than fall is Christmas. We have had (and will have) a family gathering every couple of weeks from Labor Day to November. It puts us on the road quite a bit, but we absolutely love it!! This past weekend we enjoyed a visit with my family. My mom and stepdad, Steve, were in town. We started with a visit at The Lodge, with my dad and stepmom, Janet.

Papa and Addison

Grandma J baking cookies with Calvin and Brennan. If you're interested in reading great stories about these two, check out my stepsister-in-law, Lindsay's blog, HERE.
These boys are hilarious!!
Addison and Charlotte (Lindsay's daughter) playing the piano.

My brother, David sister, Erin and mom.We had a mini-birthday party for my nephew, Caleb. He got his first ball and glove!
There is a farmstead nearby that is *free*. They have animals to pet, tractors to ride, swings to swing on, slides to slide down...you get my point. It is a toddler's paradise.
Grandpa Steve pushing Addison on a tractor.
Petting the pygmy goats (I thought they were baby goats, but Steve (a vet) set me straight...they're just small).
Ringing the cowbells with cousin, Caleb.
More cowbell!! (name that Saturday Night Live sketch)Cousin, Aidan was attached to this balloon. Literally...it was tied to his belt loop. Doesn't it look like the balloon is holding him up?!? He's such a lil guy!!

So, as you can see, this family get-together was a great success. The next one?? The Family Open on October 4th (where my family goes head to head in 9 holes of golf to win the coveted bobble-head trophy...seriously, there's a trophy!!)

Such cute pictures. Enjoy your travels. We're going to NE next weekend and then on to WI to visit Noah's grandparents. Whew!
Love the farmstead. We went there 4 times when we were in KC last!
