National Museum Day

Did you know that yesterday was National Museum Day?? Many museums around the country offered free admission yesterday. We decided to take advantage of the offer and visit our local botanical gardens. Monarch butterfly migration is going on now, and they are everywhere!! Our botanical gardens has a butterfly house with just AMAZING butterflies. I didn't get a chance to snap any pics of the butterflies...I was too busy chasing Addison and making sure she didn't take a dive into the many fountains in the gardens.

What a serious pose...we were having fun, I promise!!

This picture is one of my favorites. It really captures what Addison is like these days:
on the move, studying, checking everything out.One of the many water features Addison would've liked to wade in.

I want these in my garden.

These too.
Check out these lilypads!! They were spectacular. The blooms were the size of a large grapefruit!!These were my favorite. Can't you just picture a frog hanging out on one of these?
