Michigan {Family}

This trip was the first time I had spent 7 consecutive days with my dad since I lived at home and the first time I had EVER spent 7 consecutive days with my step-siblings and their families. We talked, laughed, played games, ate amazing home-cooked meals (everyone took their turn), shopped, swam, flew kites, watched sunsets, went on walks...it was a great quantity of quality time.

Porch-swinging with Aunt Marie. (You can read Marie's account of our trip HERE)

Where we gathered...the spacious screened in porch.
The girls eating breakfast on the porch.
Calvin and Charlotte loved talking to Jake. They are so great with babies.
Wagon ride to the beach to fly kites. The girls both had beverage umbrellas. They kept putting them over their heads and said "Oh no, it's raining on me!"
They cracked themselves up...it was sweet.

Flying kites on the beach.
Tyler helping Charlotte.
What are those crazy girls doing now, you ask? We walked through this parking lot on our way to and from the beach. Every time we walked through the girls would do this. Every. time. They ran from number to number and yelled "What's this number??" We would tell them and they'd run to the next number.
Grandma J and Jake...porch-swinging.
Calvin and Brennan buried at the beach.
Some more front-porch sitting.
Dad and Marie.
Janet and her two beautiful daughters, Marie and Lisa.
Charlotte and Addison started a sweet friendship.

Bananagrams was a favorite game. Here is everyone who was able to come!
