A couple of weeks ago, we went on our first camping trip with some friends. We actually had planned to go with two other families earlier in the month, but it rained...such a fluke seeing as how we are in the midst of drought like much of the midwest. The C family wasn't able to go on our rescheduled weekend...we missed you guys! Anyway, it was cold at sleeping at night and first thing in the morning, but the kids were troopers. All in all, it was a fun time...something we will definitely do again.

Jake spent a lot of time playing in the van (by his own choice). I know, not a very outdoorsy activity, but I didn't complain...he was contained...which is one of my parenting strategies at the moment...containment :)
