Brian and Marie (my stepsister and her husband) moved to our town about a year ago. We have loved having them close by. It's been wonderful to have family nearby to do all the familial things: have dinner, dog-sit/baby-sit, run each other around when the other has car-problems (okay, so we've been on the receiving end of that one...repeatedly). Marie started a family birthday dinner tradition last August with Kyle's birthday and it's stuck. We've had a special dinner for each of our birthdays this past year.
